Our partner is an independent contractor to whom we subcontract work. As such, they set their own hours and coordinate scheduling directly with the customer.

At present, we haven’t released a native app. Instead, you can access our web application on any device—just open your browser and go to https://lawnmowing.com.au to book a LawnMowing.

We currently don’t have a LawnMowing partner in your area. To minimize travel distances, our partners are assigned to specific zones. As soon as a LawnMowing becomes available near you, we’ll notify all registered users by email.

Unfortunately, the price can’t always be fixed in advance, since every lawn is different. After we inspect your property, the final cost may change due to factors such as:

  • A steep or uneven surface that makes mowing more challenging

  • Thick summer grass that grows quickly between your booking and our visit

  • Denser-than-average turf requiring extra pass-overs

  • Complex landscaping that demands careful edging and trimming

  • An incorrect lawn size entered at the time of booking

  • Requests for additional garden services (hedging, weeding, etc.)

Rest assured, your MowBuddy will perform a pre‐service inspection and promptly inform you of any necessary price adjustments—such as those resulting from an incorrect size selection. We also verify your lawn’s dimensions using GPS technology to ensure complete accuracy.

Rapid grass growth between your booking and our arrival is common, and grass height and density directly affect the time and effort required. As a result, the final cost may change on the day of service.

If you’re unhappy with the revised price, you’re under no obligation to proceed.

To streamline scheduling, we let our contractors choose the exact date and time, which is why bookings only offer “Weekdays” or “Weekends.” If you’d like a specific day of the week, please include it in the “Additional Comments” field when you book.

We’re happy to haul the clippings away for you—even if you’d prefer we use your green bin. Alternatively, your MowBuddy may ask if they can leave a portion of the cuttings in your garden to serve as natural mulch.

Our partner will reach out to arrange a convenient time—nothing more is required on your end. If they ask, please share photos of your lawn beforehand. To ensure a smooth service, kindly clear any obstacles or hazards (bikes, children’s toys, pet waste) the day before your appointment.

Far from it—grass species differ widely and flourish under varying conditions. The most common summer varieties are Buffalo, Kikuyu, and Couch grass, all of which grow densely and vigorously from spring through autumn, especially when they receive plenty of water and sunlight.

For optimal lawn health and appearance, we recommend a regular mowing schedule—ideally before your grass exceeds ankle height (15 cm). In Melbourne, that usually means mowing once a month from May through August, and every two weeks from September through April.

Absolutely—just add your service requests in the “Additional Comments” field when booking, or ask your MowBuddy partner directly. Please note that any extra services will incur additional fees and won’t be reflected in your original quote.

Yes—please clear any bikes, children’s toys, barbecues, rubbish, pet waste, or other obstacles before your MowBuddy arrives. This ensures the job can be completed quickly and safely; if your MowBuddy must spend time removing debris, an additional fee may apply.

We accept credit and debit card payments exclusively through our secure online payment portal. Once the job is complete, a tax invoice will be emailed to the address on file for your account

We understand that sometimes delays occur. However, our policy requires payment be received before we can dispatch your next MowBuddy appointment. If you need extra time due to special circumstances, just let us know and we’ll be happy to arrange an extension.
